Birdfy combines a bird feeder with a connected camera for recording visits and app alerts. Its product page offers separate AI-by-subscription and lifetime-AI packages, with a solar panel offered in some bundles. A headline feature should not be assumed to be included in every kit.
TechRadar’s Richard Sibley reviewed the original Netvue Birdfy Feeder AI, praising its viewing setup and mounting options while noting imperfect species recognition and a conspicuous design. That 2023 review concerns the original AI kit. It does not verify today’s Lite, Feeder 2, Metal or 4K packages, or establish their current subscription terms.

The first buying decision is where the feeder can live. Check the view, network connection and your access to it before choosing accessories. A camera that is awkward to reach makes routine cleaning and refilling harder. Consider what will appear behind the birds: an interesting view can become intrusive if the lens also captures a neighbour’s window or private space.
